These two are the epitome of the star crossed lovers. Definite soul mates. Satine is a courtesan, the 'Diamond' of the Moulin Rouge.... the woman every man wants. Christian is a writer come to Paris to gain experience. He is introduced to Satine and is instantly smitten. She takes just a little bit longer to come around to him, but is equally smitten and comes realize that he does love her no matter what. Fate threatens to tear them apart and finally does when Satine dies in Christian's arms. He finally is able to go on without her by fulfilling her final wish and telling their story.
