While testing an experimental ship

While testing an experimental ship, Farscape One, Commander John Crichton is sucked through a wormhole and ends up on the other side of the universe. The wormhole flings him into the middle of a battle between, a race called Sebaceans, a strong military force charged with keeping the peace in their part of the galaxy and aptly labeled The PeaceKeepers, and a living ship called Moya filled with prisoners escaping from their Peacekeeper guards. John , at first, unwillingly joins them and finally bonds with this motley group of alien's who become his best friends. Among the crew is a Peacekeeper, Aeryn Sun. She too, at first, is on the ship unwillingly but soon she decides to stay with them and help them in their struggles for their freedom. Trained to be a soldier and taught that emotions are just baggage Aeryn at first fights her attraction to this strange human but eventually her heart wins out.
