Because her son is one of those afflicted with Devon Adair, a woman born to wealth and privilege, believes the only way to save her son is to find a brand new home and so organizes the Eden expedition.   As part of an advance crew they set out for a planet known only as G889. And thus begins the journey of Devon Adair and John Danziger... They start out adversaries, at opposite ends of the 'class' structure...But when they are force to make a crash landing on their new home.. on the opposite end of the planet from their planned settlement "new Pacifica" Life becomes a struggle to survive in an untamed world. In their efforts to survive and keep their group alive and together Devon and Danziger become a strong team and eventually their bond blossoms into something more.  At the series end Devon was placed in cold sleep and we never got to see the full potential of this relationship but we knew that they belonged together, against any odds.  Separately they were two very opinionated and head-strong people, but when they worked together they were an unbeatable team.
